As a Furniture Delivery Helper, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operation, working alongside experienced drivers to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery and setup of a wide range of furniture items to our valued customers.
Your day will be dynamic and engaging, starting with preparing orders for dispatch, carefully loading furniture onto our delivery vehicles, and securing items to prevent damage during transit. You’ll be responsible for navigating various residential and commercial environments, often requiring adept handling in tight spaces and up multiple flights of stairs. Upon arrival at the destination, you will assist with the careful unloading, placement, and, at times, light assembly of furniture, always ensuring that the customer’s property is respected and protected. Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of furniture items onto delivery vehicles.
- Carefully transport furniture into customers' homes or businesses, exercising caution to prevent damage to items and property.
- Perform basic furniture assembly and setup according to manufacturer instructions, ensuring stability and correct placement.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting politely and professionally, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Verify product accuracy against delivery manifests and obtain customer signatures upon successful delivery.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies regarding lifting, handling, and transportation of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the vehicle and at delivery sites.
- Communicate effectively with the driver and dispatch team regarding delivery progress and any unforeseen issues.
