Job Description
Are you a visionary artist with a passion for transforming spaces into breathtaking realms of celebration? Helnan Port Said Hotel is seeking a talented and imaginative Wedding Decorator to join our dynamic events team. This unique Part-Time, weekend-focused role is perfect for a creative individual who thrives on bringing wedding dreams to life through innovative design and impeccable execution. As a Wedding Decorator, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing stunning visual themes for our cherished bridal couples, ensuring every detail reflects their unique style and vision.
Working primarily on weekends, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of event decor – from initial client consultations and mood board creation to the hands-on setup and seamless teardown of intricate wedding designs. This role demands a high level of creativity, precision, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines, all while maintaining our hotel’s high standards of luxury and elegance. You will collaborate closely with our Event Planners, Floral Artists, and AV Technicians to ensure a cohesive and magical experience for every couple and their guests. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget for wedding decor.
- Develop detailed design proposals, mood boards, sketches, and 3D renderings to present creative concepts.
- Source and select appropriate decor elements including flowers, lighting, fabrics, furniture, props, and signage.
- Plan and execute the physical setup and arrangement of all decor elements at event venues, primarily on weekends.
- Oversee the dismantling and removal of decor post-event, ensuring proper handling and storage of items.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (event planning, catering, operations) and external vendors (florists, lighting technicians).
- Manage inventory of decor items, ensuring availability, maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Stay updated on current wedding decor trends, styles, and innovative techniques.
- Ensure all decor installations comply with safety standards and hotel policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in wedding or event decoration and design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design projects.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp) is a plus.
- Excellent sense of aesthetics, color theory, and spatial arrangement.
- Ability to work hands-on with various materials and tools for setup.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially on weekends.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Floral Design, Event Management, or a related creative field.
- Certification in Event Design or Wedding Planning.
- Experience working within a luxury hotel or high-end event planning company.
- Knowledge of local suppliers and vendors in Port Said.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
