Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility).
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy, and safe patient environment, including bed making.
- Assist nurses with patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive atmosphere.
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff.
- Escort patients for appointments, tests, or discharge as required.
- Ensure proper hygiene and infection control practices are followed.
- Assist with basic wound care, specimen collection, and other medical procedures under supervision.
- Document care provided and observations in patient records as instructed.
