Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Technical Writer to join a growing team dedicated to creating clear, comprehensive, and engaging documentation and training manuals. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for translating complex technical information, processes, and software functionalities into user-friendly content for diverse audiences, including end-users, developers, and internal stakeholders.

This involves working closely with product managers, engineers, trainers, and support teams to gather information, identify documentation needs, and ensure accuracy across all materials. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, online help, FAQs, and release notes.
  • Collaborate with product development, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation.
  • Design and create engaging training manuals and materials for various learning levels and delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, self-paced, e-learning).
  • Conduct thorough research and interviews with subject matter experts to gather information and clarify technical concepts.
  • Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect product changes and enhancements, ensuring content remains current and relevant.
  • Adhere to established style guides, terminology, and content standards to ensure consistency and brand integrity.
  • Manage documentation projects from inception to delivery, including planning, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
  • Gather user feedback and analytical data to identify areas for improvement in documentation and training materials.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Technical Writer or similar role, specifically with documentation and training manual creation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English grammar, style, and vocabulary.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, Confluence, LaTeX, Adobe FrameMaker) and content management systems.
  • Experience with graphic design tools for creating diagrams, screenshots, and visual aids (e.g., Snagit, Adobe Photoshop).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality, error-free documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, XML, or other markup languages.
  • Portfolio of previous technical writing and training manual samples.
