Key Responsibilities
- Diligently sort various recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, paper, glass, metals) on a conveyor belt or sorting line.
- Identify and remove contaminants or non-recyclable items from the sorting stream.
- Operate sorting equipment safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Inspect materials for quality and ensure proper segregation into designated bins or areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material flow or potential issues.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other general labor duties within the recycling facility as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate material identification.
