Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival, presenting menus and daily specials.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met.
- Monitor guest tables to ensure satisfaction, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and attending to any additional needs.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service-related issues with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining area, including table setup and condiment replenishment.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required, including setup and breakdown of dining areas.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 15 kg.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience with POS systems.
- Knowledge of various food and beverage items.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
