Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation within specified timeframes.
- Change linens and make beds neatly; replenish towels and amenities according to established procedures.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard floors, and clean windows and mirrors.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and floors.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and fittings; polish surfaces as required.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items found in rooms to supervision promptly.
- Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work cart and storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and company policies.
- Monitor and control supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock levels.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Room Attendant or in a similar hospitality cleaning role.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Certification in hospitality or housekeeping management.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa) is a plus.
