Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Manage all aspects of client and supplier invoicing, including generation, distribution, and reconciliation.
  • Reconcile payroll and invoicing data with the general ledger, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and submit relevant statutory deductions and reports, including PAYE, NSSA, and other mandatory contributions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and tax matters, providing clear and concise explanations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and invoicing records, ensuring data integrity and adherence to record retention policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR, accounting, and other departments to ensure smooth information flow and coordinated financial operations.
  • Continuously review and implement improvements to payroll and invoicing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated with changes in Zimbabwean labor laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in payroll processing and invoicing, preferably within Zimbabwe.
  • Strong understanding of Zimbabwean labor laws, tax regulations (PAYE), and statutory requirements (NSSA).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) and payroll systems.
  • Exceptional data entry skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking initiative and ownership of tasks.
