Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner, maintaining consistency and presentation.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP, local health codes).
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and efficient operations.
  • Monitor food levels and replenish as needed to ensure continuous service.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Support head cooks and chefs with special projects and menu development.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or food safety concerns immediately.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cook or Kitchen Staff in a professional setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic knife skills and culinary techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with various cuisine types.
  • Previous experience in a full-service restaurant or institutional kitchen.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food handler's permit.
