Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems for water distribution, waste disposal, and gas.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Inspect plumbing systems and perform diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues such as leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
- Install and service water heaters, pumps, tanks, and other plumbing appliances and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations and building codes.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, provide solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage and track inventory of tools, equipment, and materials required for various projects.
- Collaborate with construction teams and other skilled trades on larger projects.
- Provide accurate estimates for plumbing work and material costs.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt and efficient plumbing solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber, particularly with water systems and installations.
- Solid knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength for heavy lifting and working in confined spaces.
