Key Responsibilities

  • Execute high-quality mixing of multi-track recordings, ensuring optimal balance, clarity, and sonic depth across various musical genres and audio projects.
  • Perform professional audio mastering, including equalization, compression, limiting, and stereo imaging, to achieve broadcast-ready and commercially competitive masters.
  • Collaborate effectively with artists, producers, and clients to interpret their creative vision and translate it into sonic reality.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks on all mixed and mastered audio to ensure consistency, eliminate technical flaws, and meet project specifications.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot studio equipment, including DAWs, consoles, microphones, and outboard gear, to ensure peak performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and new technologies in audio engineering and production.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and revisions efficiently, ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
  • Provide constructive feedback and contribute to a collaborative, creative studio environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in audio mixing and mastering.
  • Expert proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Cubase, or Ableton Live.
  • In-depth knowledge of acoustic principles, signal flow, psychoacoustics, and advanced audio processing techniques.
  • Proven ability to use EQs, compressors, reverbs, delays, and other effects creatively and effectively.
  • Excellent critical listening skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of various audio formats, codecs, and delivery specifications for different platforms (streaming, broadcast, CD, vinyl).
  • Solid understanding of music theory and arrangement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
  • Certification in specific DAWs or audio engineering techniques.
  • Experience with analog mixing consoles and outboard gear.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of successful mixing and mastering projects.
  • Familiarity with immersive audio formats (e.g., Dolby Atmos, binaural audio).
  • Experience in post-production audio for film, television, or gaming.
