Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent strategy and foster a culture of continuous growth within our organization. Based in Mutare, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative learning programs that enhance employee capabilities, leadership effectiveness, and overall organizational performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s strategic goals and talent needs.
  • Design, deliver, and manage innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules covering leadership development, technical skills, soft skills, and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough training needs analyses across all departments to identify critical skill gaps and emerging development opportunities.
  • Oversee the evaluation of L&D programs, measuring effectiveness, ROI, and impact on employee performance and business outcomes.
  • Introduce and leverage modern learning technologies and platforms to enhance engagement and accessibility of training content.
  • Mentor and coach emerging leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Manage the L&D budget, resources, and external vendor relationships effectively.
  • Collaborate with HR and senior management to integrate learning initiatives with talent management, performance appraisal, and succession planning processes.
  • Stay abreast of L&D best practices, emerging trends, and innovative methodologies to ensure Career.zycto remains at the forefront of talent development.
  • Champion a learning culture that encourages curiosity, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale L&D programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and blended learning methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into effective learning solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in evaluating program effectiveness and ROI.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Certification in instructional design, coaching, or psychometric assessment tools.
  • Experience working within a consulting firm or a rapidly growing organization.
  • Familiarity with talent management software and HRIS.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural or diverse work environment.
