Key Responsibilities
- Sort all laundry items by fabric type, color, and degree of soiling.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, ironers, and pressing equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Inspect linen and guest items for stains, damage, and wear, treating stains effectively.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean linens, towels, and guest garments neatly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including equipment and storage spaces.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean laundry to various hotel departments and guest rooms.
- Assist with inventory counts of linen and supplies as required.
- Handle guest dry cleaning and pressing requests with care and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Ability to operate laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
- Strong attention to detail for sorting, stain identification, and quality control.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy laundry bags.
- Basic understanding of different fabric types and appropriate washing methods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
