Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record all incoming stock, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Maintain meticulous inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Oversee the efficient and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of products according to customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including labels, manifests, and customs forms where applicable.
- Coordinate with transport providers for timely collection and delivery of goods.
- Implement and monitor stock rotation procedures to minimize waste and optimize shelf life.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Report on stock levels, potential shortages, and slow-moving items to relevant departments.
- Assist in the receiving and inspection of goods, identifying any damaged or defective products.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Clerk, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages, and work in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving abilities for resolving stock discrepancies.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification (Reach Truck or Counterbalance).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
