Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for event services.
  • Actively prospect, identify, and qualify new business leads through various channels including networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, understanding their event needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales deals, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of sold events.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline management in our CRM system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote services and generate leads.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in event sales or hospitality sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive selling abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Deep understanding of the events industry and market trends in Nigeria.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering outstanding client experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with event management software.
  • Existing network of corporate and social clients in the Ibadan area.
  • Fluency in Yoruba in addition to English.
