Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and meticulous Ecommerce Catalog Manager to join our growing team in Chingodzi, Tete. This pivotal full-time role involves owning the complete lifecycle of our product catalog across various e-commerce platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and richness of all product information, driving enhanced customer experiences and optimizing sales performance. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices regarding product data management.
As our Ecommerce Catalog Manager, you will be at the heart of our digital merchandising efforts. Your work will directly impact how our products are discovered and perceived by customers, influencing conversion rates and overall brand image. You will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and IT teams to implement effective catalog strategies, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and continuously improve our product presentation. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end product catalog lifecycle, including creation, updates, and maintenance of product listings across all e-commerce channels.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product data, including descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, and categorisation.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain high-quality product information.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, procurement) to gather product content and ensure timely launch of new products.
- Optimise product listings for search engine visibility (SEO) and user experience.
- Conduct regular audits of the product catalog to identify and rectify discrepancies or outdated information.
- Monitor competitor product listings and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and generate reports on catalog performance, product data quality, and relevant KPIs.
- Assist in the integration of new e-commerce platforms or tools related to product information management (PIM) systems.
- Train and support junior team members on catalog management best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce catalog management or a similar role.
- Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
- Strong understanding of product data management (PDM) or product information management (PIM) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with SEO best practices for product listings.
