This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced and strategic Director of Learning & Development to champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within Career.zycto and for our diverse client portfolio. Based in Centenary, Mashonaland Central Province, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning strategies that align with our organizational goals and our clients’ evolving needs. You will lead a talented team, driving initiatives from conceptualization through execution, ensuring all programs are engaging, impactful, and measurable. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy that aligns with Career.zycto's vision and client requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the L&D team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and deliver innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules covering leadership, technical skills, and professional development.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine appropriate learning interventions for both internal staff and external clients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all learning programs using relevant metrics and feedback mechanisms, making data-driven improvements.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
- Research and implement new learning technologies and methodologies to enhance program delivery and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external subject matter experts to create relevant and impactful content.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and management experience in Learning & Development (minimum 7 years).
- Expertise in instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in leveraging various learning technologies and platforms (LMS, authoring tools).
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable L&D strategies.
- Analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and impact.
- Budget management and resource allocation experience.
- High level of emotional intelligence and ability to motivate diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Certification in instructional design, coaching, or relevant HR disciplines.
- Experience working with diverse client portfolios or in a consulting environment.
- Familiarity with talent management systems and HR analytics.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and educational standards in Zimbabwe.
