Key Responsibilities
- Perform all types of clothing alterations, repairs, and mending, including hems, seams, zippers, button replacements, and garment resizing for a diverse range of materials.
- Accurately assess garments for damage or needed alterations, providing expert advice and appropriate solutions to customers.
- Conduct precise measurements and fittings for clients, ensuring garments are adjusted to their exact specifications.
- Operate and maintain industrial and domestic sewing machines, ensuring their optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Manage repair timelines efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet customer deadlines and expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company and health and safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, providing excellent service with a friendly and supportive demeanor.
- Maintain an inventory of sewing supplies and materials, notifying management of reorder needs proactively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge regarding new fabrics, styles, and repair techniques.
