Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, investigate, and document non-conformances, deviations, and out-of-specification results.
  • Analyze quality data and trends, preparing detailed reports for management and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to implement quality improvements and resolve issues.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of testing results.
  • Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control activities.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO, GMP).
  • Train production staff on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality control or assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and quality analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Certification in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector/Technician).
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., food, pharmaceutical, medical device).
