Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and informative tours through specified routes and attractions in Black River and surrounding areas.
- Share comprehensive knowledge of local history, culture, ecology, geography, and current events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all tour participants, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage tour logistics efficiently, including timings, transportation coordination (if applicable), and group management.
- Adapt tour content and pace to suit the interests, physical abilities, and demographics of diverse groups.
- Handle unexpected situations or emergencies with calmness and effective problem-solving.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a positive, enthusiastic attitude at all times.
- Collect feedback from guests to contribute to continuous improvement of tour experiences.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English with exceptional verbal communication and storytelling abilities.
- Extensive and verifiable knowledge of the history, geography, flora, fauna, and culture of Black River and its environs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proven ability to manage groups effectively and maintain a friendly, authoritative presence.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as a freelance professional.
