Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and rigorously analyze large datasets from various internal and external sources to monitor and evaluate business performance across product, marketing, finance, and operational functions.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive, interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools, ensuring data accuracy, relevance, and accessibility for diverse stakeholders.
- Proactively identify key trends, patterns, and anomalies in performance data, providing insightful commentary and generating actionable recommendations for optimisation and improvement.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, finance, and operations teams to define clear key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish robust, scalable tracking mechanisms.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand the underlying root causes of performance fluctuations and provide data-backed insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to various levels of management through clear, concise, and compelling visualisations and narrative summaries.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of new initiatives, marketing campaigns, and product features, providing data-backed feedback for continuous iteration and optimisation.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in performance analytics, data visualisation, reporting, and relevant analytical tools and technologies.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant data governance policies and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Performance Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas for data modelling and analysis.
- Extensive experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio for dashboard creation and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- A genuine commitment to data accuracy and integrity, ensuring reliable reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Experience with advanced statistical analysis and modelling techniques (e.g., A/B testing, regression analysis, predictive modelling).
- Familiarity with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Prior experience working within the EdTech or digital publishing industry.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R for advanced data analysis and automation.
