Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our partner’s esteemed establishment in the bustling Rusholme area of Manchester. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures, including registration, key allocation, and payment processing.
  • Handle guest check-outs efficiently, settling bills and providing assistance with luggage or transport as needed.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries, providing accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
  • Address guest concerns, complaints, and requests promptly and courteously, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy reception area, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial procedures.
  • Provide local recommendations and directions, enhancing the guest's stay in Rusholme and Manchester.
  • Uphold hotel security procedures and guest privacy at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within hospitality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and guest satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with a Property Management System (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar.
  • Knowledge of the local Rusholme/Manchester area and attractions.
  • Ability to communicate in additional languages.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Hospitality or Customer Service.
