Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care activities, including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Support residents with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse and maintain accurate records.
- Engage residents in social activities, conversations, and therapeutic exercises to promote mental and physical well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health, mood, or behavior to senior staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a sense of dignity and respect.
- Document care provided, observations, and relevant information accurately and promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an aged care or similar support role (minimum 12 months).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a caring attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Fluent in German (B2 level or higher) and functional English.
