Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm and engaging companionship, including conversation, reading aloud, and participating in hobbies and activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying common areas, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Run errands such as grocery shopping, prescription pickups, and accompany clients to appointments.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's health, behavior, or living conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for clients.
- Administer medication reminders as directed (non-invasive).
- Encourage client independence and engage them in social and mental stimulation activities.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable empathy and compassion for others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to adapt to various home environments and client needs.
- Basic knowledge of household management and meal preparation.
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and perform light household tasks.
- Fluency in German (both spoken and written) is highly advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, elder care, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Certification as a 'Betreuungskraft' (care assistant) or similar qualification.
