Key Responsibilities
- Assist the primary delivery driver with navigating routes and making timely deliveries.
- Safely load and unload various packages and goods from the delivery vehicle.
- Verify the accuracy of delivered items against delivery manifests and customer orders.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, resolving minor issues as they arise.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly to the driver or supervisor.
- Learn and adapt to diverse delivery routes and customer requirements.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of navigation and mapping tools.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada or eligibility for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, logistics, or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with the Barrie, Ontario area and surrounding regions.
- Customer service experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G-class driver's license (or G2 with an intent to obtain G) to potentially move into a driver role.
