Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the primary delivery driver with navigating routes and making timely deliveries.
  • Safely load and unload various packages and goods from the delivery vehicle.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivered items against delivery manifests and customer orders.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, resolving minor issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
  • Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly to the driver or supervisor.
  • Learn and adapt to diverse delivery routes and customer requirements.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of navigation and mapping tools.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada or eligibility for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a delivery, logistics, or warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with the Barrie, Ontario area and surrounding regions.
  • Customer service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid G-class driver's license (or G2 with an intent to obtain G) to potentially move into a driver role.
