Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and mobile payments with precision.
- Greet customers warmly, provide excellent customer service, and answer basic inquiries.
- Bag groceries and assist customers with their purchases as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accuracy.
- Scan items, apply discounts, and process returns or exchanges in accordance with store policies.
- Communicate effectively with store supervisors regarding any customer issues or pricing discrepancies.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic mathematical proficiency for handling transactions and making change.
