Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement complex simulation models for various engineering and architectural projects, including but not limited to traffic, pedestrian, logistical, and environmental systems.
  • Gather and analyze project requirements, data, and constraints to accurately represent real-world conditions within simulation environments.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to define simulation objectives, scope, and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct validation and verification of simulation models to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and optimization studies to evaluate design alternatives and operational strategies.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and compelling reports, presentations, and visualizations of simulation findings for diverse audiences.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in simulation software and methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on simulation-related matters.
  • Manage multiple simulation projects concurrently, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation tools, processes, and documentation within the organization.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one industry-standard simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena, Simul8, FlexSim, Vissim, Aimsun).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex real-world problems into abstract models.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and experimental design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Systems, Software), Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least 4 years (48 months) of professional experience in simulation design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or VBA for simulation scripting and data processing.
  • Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial data integration in simulations.
  • Experience in a consulting environment or with large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based simulation platforms and high-performance computing.
  • Certification in relevant simulation software or methodologies.
