Career.zycto is actively seeking highly vigilant, professional, and customer-focused Bouncers to join our dedicated team, providing essential security and entry control services for prominent clubs and event venues throughout Stockport, Manchester. This role is paramount to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of patrons, maintaining order, and upholding the reputation of our partner establishments. As a Bouncer, you will be the front line of defence, responsible for creating a secure yet welcoming atmosphere. You will expertly manage access points, conduct thorough ID verification, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks. This isn’t just about physical presence; it demands exceptional observational skills, clear communication, and the ability to de-escalate conflicts with tact and professionalism. We are looking for individuals who can think on their feet, make sound decisions under pressure, and work collaboratively with venue management and staff to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all patrons and staff within designated club and event venues.
- Strictly control entry points, verifying age, checking identification, and ensuring compliance with venue policies regarding dress code and prohibited items.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for unusual behavior, potential security threats, or breaches of conduct.
- Proactively identify and de-escalate conflicts or disruptive situations using calm, professional communication and intervention techniques.
- Enforce venue policies and regulations consistently and fairly, including managing intoxicated individuals and ensuring responsible consumption.
- Provide clear and courteous directions and assistance to patrons, enhancing their overall experience.
- Collaborate effectively with venue management, bar staff, and other security personnel to ensure coordinated safety efforts.
- Complete detailed incident reports accurately and promptly for any security breaches, altercations, or medical emergencies.
- Adhere strictly to all relevant licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Assist with crowd management during peak hours, special events, or emergency evacuations.
- Remain vigilant and observe surroundings constantly, anticipating potential issues before they escalate.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence (current and valid)
- Proven experience in a security or bouncer role, preferably within a club or event setting
- Excellent observational and risk assessment skills
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Sound decision-making capabilities
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and respond to incidents
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid at Work certification
- Experience with diverse crowd demographics
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and regulations specific to Stockport/Manchester
- Additional security certifications or training
