Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Rockfort, Kingston. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our warehouse and delivery network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for orchestrating the entire logistics process, from inbound shipments and inventory management to outbound deliveries and freight coordination. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Manage inventory control and accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules to enhance efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to resolve logistics issues.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates to stakeholders and addressing any delays.
- Ensure strict compliance with local and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse and delivery processes.
- Generate comprehensive logistics reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for optimization.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective liaison with diverse groups.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of freight forwarding, customs procedures, and local transportation networks.
