Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety standards.
- Ensure all washed items are properly stored and organized in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables or organizing inventory.
- Manage waste disposal and maintain cleanliness of waste areas.
- Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP, provincial health guidelines).
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
- Perform general cleaning duties in the kitchen as assigned to support overall hygiene.
