Job Description
Quins Creative is seeking a highly imaginative and skilled Animator (2D/3D Projects) to join our vibrant creative team in Valley Arcade, Nairobi. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and create high-quality 2D and 3D animations for various digital platforms, including web, social media, and broadcast.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop storyboards, animatics, and visual concepts that align with client briefs and project objectives.
- Translate complex ideas and abstract concepts into clear, engaging, and visually appealing motion graphics.
- Rig and animate characters, objects, and environments with a focus on fluid motion, realistic physics, and compelling storytelling.
- Ensure all animated content adheres to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and delivery deadlines.
- Maintain and organize animation files and assets efficiently for optimal workflow and future use.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, animation techniques, and software advancements to continually enhance production quality and efficiency.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to elevate creative output.
- Provide constructive feedback and actively participate in review processes to refine animations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony).
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D).
- Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling character animation, motion graphics, and visual effects.
- Solid portfolio showcasing diverse animation styles and projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) for asset creation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience with real-time animation engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Knowledge of scripting or programming for animation automation (e.g., expressions in After Effects, Python in Maya).
- Experience in visual development, concept art, or illustration.
- Ability to create storyboards and animatics from scratch.
- Experience working within an advertising or marketing agency setting.
