Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport clients, executives, and staff to their designated destinations.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean, presentable, and well-maintained condition at all times, including regular checks of fuel, oil, water, and tyre pressure.
- Plan optimal routes using GPS and local knowledge to ensure timely arrivals, accounting for traffic and potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding passenger conversations and activities.
- Assist passengers with luggage and other items as required.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with passengers and management.
- Be flexible with working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, as client needs dictate.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
Required Skills
- Valid South African driving license (Code 8/B or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 3 years (36 months) of professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate or personal chauffeur capacity.
- Thorough knowledge of Durbanville, Western Cape, and surrounding areas, including alternative routes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Proficient in using GPS navigation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive driving certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with luxury or executive vehicle types.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Afrikaans, Xhosa) is an advantage.
