Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior dispatchers in planning and optimizing daily delivery routes for our fleet of drivers.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to relay instructions, updates, and resolve any en-route issues.
- Process incoming dispatch requests accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary details are captured.
- Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle movements, delivery statuses, and driver activities using dispatch software.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and clients to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Monitor traffic conditions and external factors that may impact delivery schedules and provide timely updates.
- Prepare daily reports on dispatch operations, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor logistical challenges or customer inquiries as they arise.
Required Skills
- Secondary school education or equivalent
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite, email)
