Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy rigid trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and accounted for at all times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and fuel consumption reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally while on duty and interacting with clients.
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C (or equivalent Heavy Rigid) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy rigid vehicles.
- Knowledge of German traffic laws and transport regulations (e.g., driving hours, rest periods).
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Strong understanding of load securement techniques.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in German (B1 level minimum).
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and securing cargo.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diverse types of heavy rigid trucks and trailer configurations.
