Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize soiled laundry items by type, colour, and cleaning requirements.
- Load and unload commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironers, following operating instructions and safety protocols.
- Monitor laundry cycles and adjust settings as necessary to ensure optimal cleaning and drying.
- Perform quality checks on cleaned items, identifying and reporting any damage or persistent stains.
- Operate pressing and folding equipment to prepare items for packaging and dispatch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management and tracking of laundry supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
