Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort and separate various recyclable materials (e.g., paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, metals) from a conveyor belt.
- Identify and remove non-recyclable items, contaminants, and hazardous materials from the sorting line.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Operate sorting equipment safely and efficiently, including compactors or balers as needed (after training).
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect materials for quality control, ensuring sorted materials meet established specifications.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material flow, issues, or concerns.
- Assist with general plant clean-up and maintenance tasks as required.
- Adhere to production targets and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
