Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome pediatric patients and their families upon arrival, assisting them with check-in procedures and directing them appropriately.
  • Prepare examination rooms before and after patient visits, ensuring they are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies and child-friendly materials.
  • Assist nurses and doctors with basic patient preparation, such as weighing children, measuring height, and taking temperature, under direct supervision.
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the waiting areas, play zones, and common spaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all visitors.
  • Comfort anxious children and provide reassurance to parents, creating a calming and supportive atmosphere within the clinic.
  • Manage and organize patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy, and assisting with basic data entry tasks.
  • Handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Replenish medical supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure all equipment is in proper working order, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Assist with light administrative duties, including filing, photocopying, and distributing internal communications.
  • Collaborate effectively with the entire clinic team, including doctors, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to all clinic policies, safety protocols, and hygiene standards, particularly concerning infection control in a pediatric setting.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable empathy and patience, particularly with children and their families.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency for administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience (at least 6 months) in a healthcare, childcare, or customer service setting.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
