Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, electricians) with various tasks on site.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment, transporting them to designated areas.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including waste removal and site tidiness.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary barriers, and other site structures as required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies diligently.
- Report any hazards or incidents immediately to site management.
- Support logistics by moving materials between different areas of the site.
- Perform general labouring duties as directed by site supervisors.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of manual labour.
- Willingness to learn and take instructions from supervisors.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (e.g., wearing PPE).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem-solving attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
- Previous experience working on a construction site.
