Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing team in Langendreer, Bochum. Key Responsibilities
- Assist civil engineers in the design and planning of various infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and structural elements.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and maps using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to gather data, assess existing conditions, and monitor construction progress.
- Perform calculations related to quantities, costs, structural loads, and material specifications.
- Compile and maintain project documentation, reports, specifications, and permits in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
- Review construction plans and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and construction contracts.
- Contribute to quality control and assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest industry technologies, software, and best practices in civil engineering.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit)
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in German (C1 level or higher)
- Familiarity with relevant German building codes and regulations (e.g., DIN standards)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or vocational training in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
- 2+ years of practical experience in civil engineering or construction projects
