Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing team in Langendreer, Bochum. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist civil engineers in the design and planning of various infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and structural elements.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and maps using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to gather data, assess existing conditions, and monitor construction progress.
  • Perform calculations related to quantities, costs, structural loads, and material specifications.
  • Compile and maintain project documentation, reports, specifications, and permits in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
  • Review construction plans and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and construction contracts.
  • Contribute to quality control and assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry technologies, software, and best practices in civil engineering.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit)
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in German (C1 level or higher)
  • Familiarity with relevant German building codes and regulations (e.g., DIN standards)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or vocational training in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
  • 2+ years of practical experience in civil engineering or construction projects
  • Experience with GIS software or project management tools
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) principles
  • Valid German driver's license (Class B)
