Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all catering areas, including kitchen, dining spaces, and equipment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Assist with the efficient setting up and clearing down of dining areas and service stations for various events or daily service.
- Operate catering equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately, processing transactions using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Replenish stock levels in serving areas, assist with inventory management, and report low stock levels.
- Adhere to all health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries, requests, and feedback professionally and courteously.
- Support the catering team in daily operations and special events as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist.
- Be proactive in identifying and addressing customer needs to enhance their overall dining experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a catering or food service environment, preferably within the UK.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact politely and effectively with diverse clientele.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team, contributing positively to team morale.
- Strong understanding and practical application of food safety and hygiene regulations.

- A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with colleagues and customers.
