Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Castlemore, Brampton. This pivotal role involves bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless software delivery from code commit to production deployment. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and fostering a culture of automation and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual intervention.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security, responding to incidents and implementing preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and services into existing infrastructure.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards across all environments.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support critical production systems.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI).
  • Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of database administration (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with network security principles and tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
