Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension, and electrical components, using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Execute routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Conduct major and minor repairs on gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and other critical automotive systems.
- Inspect, test, and adjust vehicle systems to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and technical service bulletins (TSBs) to effectively resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and estimated timelines.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and workshop policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Continuously update knowledge of automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Auto Mechanic in a professional workshop setting.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Proficiency in performing both routine maintenance and complex repairs on automotive systems.
- Competency in using modern diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and workshop machinery.
