Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., masons, carpenters, electricians) with various tasks as needed.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, digging, and performing general site maintenance.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations strictly to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing tasks.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades under supervision.
- Clear debris, trash, and hazardous materials from construction sites.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any defects.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals.
- Adhere to project schedules and quality standards.
- Handle and transport materials such as sand, cement, gravel, and timber.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
- Assist with the installation of pipes, wiring, and other utility systems.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform strenuous tasks.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) consistently.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
