As a Hotel Sales Executive, you will be the face of the hotel, engaging with corporate clients, event planners, tour operators, and individual guests to secure bookings for accommodation, conferences, events, and other services. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets for accommodation, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), and other hotel services.
  • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, market research, and client referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, event organizers, and government bodies.
  • Conduct site inspections and presentations to showcase hotel facilities and services to prospective clients.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals effectively.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new sales opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the hotel and generate leads.
  • Collaborate closely with other hotel departments (e.g., front office, food & beverage, events) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses for management review.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client databases and sales records using CRM software.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Deep understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Eket, Uyo, and surrounding areas as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Sales Executive or similar role in a 3-5 star hotel.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Knowledge of the local Eket and Uyo market, including key businesses and event venues.
  • Fluency in additional local languages.
