Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled laborers and heavy equipment operators with various tasks on road construction and maintenance sites.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, shoveling, raking, lifting, and moving materials.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of work zones, including placing traffic cones, signs, and barriers.
- Operate hand tools and basic power tools under supervision (e.g., compaction tools, small generators).
- Load and unload materials and supplies from trucks and prepare them for use.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, removing debris and waste materials.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, procedures, and company policies.
- Assist with traffic control as needed, following established protocols.
- Perform general site cleanup and maintenance duties.
- Support the team in ensuring project deadlines are met efficiently.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
