Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems, to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and infrastructure to extend asset lifespan and minimize breakdowns.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls from tenants or property management, troubleshooting and resolving problems efficiently.
- Execute repairs and replacements of faulty equipment, fixtures, and structural elements using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Oversee and coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring work is completed to specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies, fostering a safe working environment.
- Manage and maintain common areas, grounds, and external facilities to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Participate in emergency response efforts, including after-hours calls, to address critical facility issues.
- Provide clear and concise communication to property management and tenants regarding maintenance schedules and issue resolution.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related trade.
- Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity for performing repairs and lifting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
