Career.zycto is seeking an exceptional and highly creative Film Director to lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of short films and commercial projects. This pivotal role requires a director with a distinctive artistic vision, a proven track record of delivering compelling visual stories, and the ability to inspire and manage diverse production teams. You will be instrumental in translating client briefs and internal concepts into captivating cinematic experiences, from initial script development and storyboarding through to post-production and final delivery. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with producers, cinematographers, editors, and marketing teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative vision and direction for a diverse portfolio of short films and commercial projects, from initial concept to final delivery.
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes.
- Develop detailed treatments, storyboards, and shot lists to effectively communicate the artistic direction and technical requirements.
- Direct talent (actors, voice-over artists) and crew on set, providing clear guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Oversee all stages of production, including pre-production planning, principal photography, and post-production (editing, sound design, color grading, VFX).
- Manage project timelines and budgets efficiently, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
- Scout and approve locations, and advise on equipment, lighting, and visual aesthetics.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in filmmaking and commercial production.
- Mentor and inspire junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and creative growth.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable experience as a Film Director with a strong portfolio of short films and commercial projects.
- Expertise in cinematic storytelling, visual composition, and narrative structure.
- Proficiency in directing talent and managing production crews.
- Strong understanding of camera equipment, lighting techniques, and sound recording.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
