Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of clothing repairs, including mending tears, patching holes, replacing zippers, and re-stitching seams.
- Execute alterations such as hemming, lengthening/shortening sleeves, tapering, and adjusting waistlines for various garment types.
- Conduct fittings and consult with customers to understand their specific needs and provide expert advice on garment modifications.
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines, sergers, and other tailoring equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect garments for quality control, ensuring all repairs and alterations meet high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and organize the workstation, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring supplies are well-stocked.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide accurate timeframes and cost estimates for services.
