Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line support for cloud infrastructure incidents and service requests.
- Monitor cloud platform performance, availability, and security using relevant tools.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud resources (VMs, storage, networking, databases).
- Perform routine system maintenance, patching, and upgrades across cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for cloud data.
- Contribute to the documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployment and stability.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required to support critical infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a cloud support or infrastructure role (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls).
- Proficiency with Linux and/or Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and practices for cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
