Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and dismantling concrete forms and molds.
- Help prepare the subgrade for concrete pours, ensuring it is level and compact.
- Mix, pour, spread, and smooth concrete using various hand and power tools such as shovels, rakes, screeds, and floats.
- Assist in placing steel reinforcing bars and mesh to strengthen concrete structures.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and the work area daily to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Load and unload construction materials, including concrete bags, aggregates, and tools.
- Perform general labor duties as required on the construction site to support overall project progress.
- Support experienced concreters in all aspects of concrete work, learning from their expertise.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors and experienced team members.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a diverse construction team.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety principles or a strong willingness to learn and adhere to them immediately.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for maintaining project schedules.
